HIDALGO COUNTY, TEXAS
What could the abated county revenue support?
One company. One county revenue scenario. A visible comparison of tax treatment, department funding and potential pay increases.

Allocation assumptions · not an adopted budgetDemonstration assumptions: each division starts with 20 employees averaging $50,000 in annual salary; employer costs are assumed at 25% of additional salary. These are editable examples, not Hidalgo staffing or wage findings. Each allocation is fully devoted to compensation in this scenario.

What the green bars show
Illustrative average salary after an equal-dollar raise. The navy bar shows the starting salary. Both use the same scale within this comparison. No raise is promised or shown as an actual loss.
Teachers, municipal police, firefighters and council
These need their own school, city or service-district revenue and staffing scenarios. This first view retains the existing county divisions. County relief does not automatically become money available for those separate payrolls.
Public return, to be documented
The comparison should sit beside enforceable jobs, infrastructure and land-management commitments, then evidence of what residents received. Private wages and landowner payments are separate from county receipts.
Meaning of the add-back
Full taxation assumes the same project exists without the concession. Gross forgone revenue is not automatically net fiscal loss; project costs, retained taxes, fund restrictions and whether the incentive changed the investment decision remain relevant.
